Our journey so far

Formerly part of the Dennis Group, one of the UK’s leading and most-respected media owners, Autovia was spun off into a separate specialist automotive business in 2021. We’re the proud parent of Auto Express, Driver Power, DrivingElectric, Carbuyer, Evo, BuyaCar, Octane and Vantage.

The Dennis story goes back to 1973 when it was founded by media mogul and entrepreneur Felix Dennis in London’s Fitzrovia. Today, Dennis is one of the most dynamic media companies in the UK and has transformed its business from its traditional print publishing roots to an award-winning multi-platform media company. 

In January 2021 Autovia was born, spun off from Dennis to create the UK’s leading automotive content and commerce business. It’s a new, dynamic, standalone business made up of our automotive media brands and our BuyaCar ecommerce platform. This new company enables us to focus on the ultra-dynamic automotive sector in rapidly changing times. We’re ideally positioned to win in this hotly contested space thanks to our unique, end-to-end mix of media brands with huge audience reach and insight, plus our ecommerce capabilities.
