London, 24 May 2022: Provisional contenders for the UK’s most prestigious new car awards – the Auto Express New Car Awards – have been revealed. The Awards celebrate the best new cars on sale, from city cars to SUVs as well as vans and pick-ups, covering the latest petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric models. They’re voted for by the expert reviewers at Auto Express, with every single model analysed according to specific criteria derived from audience research. Only the very best cars make the shortlist.
Auto Express editor-in-chief Steve Fowler commented “It’s very easy to buy a new car badly and very difficult to buy a new car well. Now more than ever consumers need trusted advice when buying their next car – there is so much choice, new technologies and looming changes in legislation to get their heads around, it can be a minefield. Our awards provide them with the advice they need to buy the right car at the right price.
“In spite of everything else that’s going on in the world right now, our data proves there’s still strong demand for new cars. And it’s these models – and the people who make, market and sell them – that we’ll be celebrating at the Auto Express Awards on 5th July.”
The ceremony will finish with the crowning of the Auto Express Car of the Year 2022.
